2010 San Francisco Giants Autographed World Series Baseball

Remember the 2010 World Series? Remember the skinny kid with the weird haircut who baffled some of the games best hitters? How about the guy with the huge black beard who ended up being the best relief man in the bigs that year? 2010 was the year that one of the most interesting teams in the modern baseball era hijacked the National League Playoffs. Then the 2010 San Francisco Giants did what no other Giants team had done since moving from New York in 1958, they won the World Series.

At the beginning of the season not one sports writer picked them to go all the way. Too many unknowns, too many oddballs. As it turned out, these writers weren't far off. The Giants had a roller coaster season that took them to the very last game of the season. Unable to clinch the division in the first two games of a three game home stand against the Padres, they finally pushed through and won the final game 3-0. It was at that moment that San Francisco fans started to believe. Long suffering Giants fans were finally rewarded when the Bay Area bad boys defeated the Braves, Phillies and Rangers to Clinch the Series.

Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Barry Zito, and Jonathan Sanchez all had great seasons but none of that would have mattered without Brian Wilson. The amazing, flamboyant Brian Wilson. Neon green shoes. Giant black beard. Ridiculous talent. Wilson converted 48 out of 53 save opportunities making him one of the most feared relievers in the league that year.

And the Giants weren't just about pitching, they were also flush with clutch hitters. Buster Posey, Aubrey Huff, Freddy Sanchez, Juan Uribe and Pablo Sandoval just killed it that year with amazing on-base averages and huge RBI's. Buster Posey had such a great year he was eventually named NL Rookie of the Year.

As a tribute to the 2010 San Francisco Giants and the fans who believed in them, we're now offering for sale our in-house, on-display, one-of-a-kind, San Francisco team signed World Series baseball:

Green Day From Punk Band To Rock Gods

Hard to believe but Green Day has now been an actual band for 24 years! Originally formed in 1987 as punk band Sweet Children in Northern California, Green Day has been an amazing roller coaster of hits and dips on its way to selling an amazing 75 million albums.

Their run of success during the last 10 years started with the album American Idiot which was anchored by the smash hit single American Idiot. And if that wasn't enough, the second single released from American Idiot was Boulevard of Broken Dreams

Green Day has always been a favorite here at Score because of their controversial views on politics, social justice and the power of music. Billie Joe Armstrong one famously said "The only people who should sing about social issues or politics are the ones who aren't full of shit." Hard to argue with that logic.

As our tribute to Green Day and no-bullshit attitudes in general, we are making available for sale our in-house, hanging on the wall, red, Glenn Burton Guitar hand signed by Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Jason White. Its awesome:

Motley Crue The Worlds Most Notorious Band

Hair Metal? Maybe. Heavy Metal? Definitely. Formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, Motley Crue has been on a 30 year juggernaut playing every major venue on the planet and selling more than 80 million albums. Alcohol abuse, drug addiction, jail, and a general lifestyle of hedonism has made them the sex, drugs and rock and roll kings of modern music.

Motley Crue's core group of Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neal are practically household names among even the most casual of music fans. If you've forgotten their early days, check out one of their first big MTV hits "Live Wire" over at Youtube.

Rumor has it that 2014 is going to be their last year touring because of Mick Mars' continuing health problems. Tommy Lee swears he'll never tour with the band again after this and said "The last thing we ever wanna do is go out running on two cylinders with some hired guy playing guitar, thats just whack. So we wanna go out with one big hurrah with the original guys and be done with it."

As our tribute to the ridiculousness and glory of everything Crue, we are now offering for sale our prized in-house MC guitar signed by the entire band (yep, its as cool as it looks):

Chicago Bears Vintage Memorabilia

Chicago Bears Vintage Memorabilia isn't exactly an accurate title. The actual items for sale aren't vintage but the players sure are. Todays lineup features some of the greatest players of all time; Dick Butkus, Gale Sayers, Mike Ditka, Jim McMahon, Brian Urlacher and Mike Singletary.

The Bears are pretty good this year, not as good as last year, but still pretty good. Looking at the historical stats, its clear that the Bears are pretty good every season, whether the win-loss records reflect it or not. Thats because their rosters have always been full of larger than life characters, guys who brought a high level of energy and intensity to both their professional and personal lives. C'mon, what fan doesn't love a super competitive football player?

Typically, this where I would start yakking about the crazy careers of these players. Not today. These players are so iconic that if you want to know more about them, go find a football fan who's over 50. Better yet, I would suggest you buy one of these and give it to a football fan who's over 50.

Chicago Bulls Think 2014 Will Be Their Year

Here at the beginning of the 2013-2014 basketball season, most b-ball experts are saying there will be only 5 teams with the talent to challenge the reigning champs, the Miami Heat. At that top of that very short list is the Chicago Bulls. Sports dude Brett Pollakoff wrote a nice piece about the contenders at ProBasketBallTalk and he thinks it will probably be the Pacers or the Bulls at the end. Looking at the rosters of each team I have to go with the Bulls. The Bulls were pretty good last year without Derrick Rose. Carlos Boozer, Luol Deng, and Joakim Noah are awesome in their own right and they're all coming into this season healthy and focused. Bad news for the Eastern Conference.

My pick for best Chicago Bulls Autographed Memorabilia is this basketball signed by the big four:

You can't buy a cool autographed basketball without buying the coolest display case ever made. Real wood, real glass, mirrored, free engraving and ridiculously inexpensive for what you get:

Jimmy Buffett Parrothead gift ideas

Born James William Buffett on Christmas Day 1946, Pascagoula's favorite son has had himself one heck of a successful career as a singer-songwriter, actor, author, and business man. He's amassed a fortune estimated at $400 million from his hard work and he's returned a lot of it to local communities through a number of highly visible charities. As successful as he's been, he's still best known as just "Jimmy" to his legion of fans, the Parrotheads.

If you've got a Parrothead in your life (and really, who doesn't?) then you might be looking for something totally unique, perhaps even something hand signed. If thats the case we might have just what you're looking for. A Jimmy Buffett autographed photo is always great. If you're a little more adventurous you might even go for the Jimmy Buffett autographed microphone:

Green Bay Packer Gift Ideas

The Green Bay Packers have one of the most storied histories in all of sports. Founded in 1919 by Earl Lambeau, the packers have won everything in sight including 13 league championships and 4 Super Bowls. Not bad for the smallest 'local' market in the league.

Green Bay Packers autographed memorabilia are often the most sought after items in our store, especially the Packers team signed helmets and balls. We love the team signed football memorabilia because its just so darn dramatic when displayed in a beautiful wood and glass case. If you're looking for 'wow' factor gifts, theses are the real deal.

Is Lionel Messi Almost Finished?

Many American sports fans have probably heard the name Lionel Messi but I'm guessing most would guess he's a tennis player. Yes, he's another handsome athlete from Argentina, which is famous for handsome tennis stars, but Leo Messi is one of the worlds highest paid soccer players. Playing forward for FC Madrid, arguably the best soccer team on the planet, Leo Messi has been nominated or won practically every award offered since he burst onto the scene eight years ago. At only 26, the measure of his greatness is revealed by the fact that there are only two opinions of him - you either love him or hate him. Nobody just likes him.

Leo Messi, like all great athletes, drives himself relentlessly. And, as with all great athletes, he sometimes pays the price with injuries. Yesterday Leo limped off the field with a hamstring injury after only 20 minutes of playing time and its estimated that his recovery time will be 8 weeks. This is the latest in a long string of muscle and hamstring issues that have struck the star down, each one taking him off the pitch for extended periods.

As great as this guy is, I'm now wondering if this is where the inevitable decline begins. We all know how this works, he'll probably continue to play for years with nagging injuries and continue to have flashes of brilliance. He'll probably become the veteran who spurs his younger teammates to win games beyond their skill levels. I hope I'm wrong. No matter what happens, he'll surely be one of those players that everyone will be talking about for the next 50 years. Viva Leo!

Today's autographed sports memorabilia item of the day is a beautiful 16x20 autographed photo of the man himself, Lionel Andres Messi:

What Teams Have Not Won the Super Bowl - Wow

So you think you're unhappy about the NFL team you follow? You're in good company. Plenty of people have never felt the thrill of the big win. I don't think about it often but when reminded, I'm always surprised by the number of really good teams that have never won the big game. And, as we all know, its all about the ring.

Buzzfeed.com recently ran a story about the teams that have not won the Super Bowl (and the four that have never been) and its full of little factoids you can use on your friends to win a free beer:

10 NFL Teams You Probably Didn’t Know Haven’t Won A Super Bowl

As I read the article I saw two teams who might actually make their way off this list, The Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers. Yep, I said it. They're not dominant teams by any stretch of the imagination but they do possess two things that no other team does - Russell Wilson and Cam Newton. In a season dictated by key injuries, these two look young and strong and hungry.

In honor of these two winners, and my pick for the best mid-season sports memorabilia buy, I give you Russell and Cam:

The Oldest and Fattest Teams in the NBA

I was cruising through the morning sports news when I spotted this great article on Deadspin.com:
The first thing I noticed was the correlation between age and success. The oldest team listed is the Miami Heat, generally accepted as the best in the league, with the youngest team listed being the Cleveland Cavaliers. Ha, no comment.

The "fattest" team (more specifically, the team with the highest BMI - this is comedy after all) is the Philadelphia 76ers. Tied with the Cavs for youngest team, its hard to know if the 76ers are young and fat or just young and big. Whatever they are this is probably not going to be their year, the Vegas oddsmakers have already voted and Philly is a 300-1 longshot.

In honor of the Oldest and Fattest, here are my product picks of the day; an Official Old Guy Dwayne Wade autographed photo and an Official Non-Fat Former Philadelphia 76er Julius Erving autographed basketball.

Autographed Tom Brady & Andrew Luck Photo

Sports Memorabilia can sometimes be the most personal item a person buys. Whether as a gift or for a collection, every item is attached to some emotional moment in time. I was on the phone with an older gentleman the other day chatting about autographed sports memorabilia in general and autographed baseballs in particular. He was interested in buying a signed ball to give to the son of one of his best friends as a way of showing his appreciation for the respect this kid had always given him. It sounded to me like it was going to be a reward for being a good citizen. The more I thought about this the more I liked it. My guess is that kid will keep that ball for a long time with a fond remembrance of his father's friend and the reason the gift was given.

With this in mind I started looking for some item that represents that spirit of good citizenship. I wasn't really interested in "role model" stuff, just some athlete who quietly does his own thing in his own community. Well, I came up with two, the teacher and the student, Tom Brady and Andrew Luck. Both of these guys support local charities and put in the time. Quietly. Good citizen stuff. So if you're ever in the mood to surprise a young person with a keepsake, think about something that supports a higher ideal.

Autographed New York Giants Logo Football

Ok, let's all agree that the 2013 version of the New York Giants isn't very good. Let's also agree that the Giants have been one of the best teams during the past 13 years. Not necessarily great, but really good and really entertaining.  With trips to the playoffs in 2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011, the Giants have been generally feared by opposing teams for a very long time, mostly because of three marquis players - Eli Manning, Brandon Jacobs and lately, Victor Cruz.

Not much to say about Eli Manning except that the guy somehow wins. I don't get it but his record speaks for itself. How about Brandon Jacobs? He's one of those great football stories that old guys will be talking about in 30 years, "Oh yeah, I was there in 2009 when The Creator ran through the Cardinals like butter." From 2005 to 2011 Brandon Jacobs played great football, mostly injured, which is why New Yorkers will always have a soft spot for the guy. And then there's Victor Cruz. Another great story. After an unremarkable college football experience at UMass, he doesn't get drafted but somehow gets signed by the Giants in 2010. The next thing you know, the guy is catching footballs all over the place during a Monday night preseason game against the Jets. Gets a ton of yards and scores three touchdowns, and ends up making the team. His exploits during the 2011 Super Bowl run are now legendary with killer games against the Cowboys, 49ers and Pats.

Its in honor of these three greats that we offer this cool Giants logo football:

Why I Like Football Mini Helmets Now

I didn't always like football mini helmets. I just didn't see the point. I figured that if you were going to bother with getting a helmet signed it oughta be full sized, something you can see! But then I discovered something that changed my mind forever - the most perfect mini helmet display case ever made. Real wood, real glass, real class.

Now I'm loving these tiny little helmets. They fit on shelves, they look great on the corner of a desk, they even look good sitting next to their larger cousins. Three types of wood are available for the base and engraving on the glass is available at no extra charge. And my favorite feature of all - they're cheap! $62! Three new mini's have just come in that would look awesome wrapped in this glass. See below

Bruno Mars Autographed Microphone

Peter Gene Hernandez, aka Bruno Mars, is one of our favorite music artists. Born into a musical family in Hawaii, Bruno performed locally in Honolulu before moving to Los Angeles after high school. As a producer, writer and backup vocalist, Bruno became known around LA for his style an energy. Bruno's career exploded in 2010 after the release of his first solo album Doo-Wops & Hooligans with the hit singles Grenade and Just the Way You Are. Since that first album Bruno has stormed the music world racking up hit after hit and electrifying audiences with his high octane performances.

We caught up with Bruno during the weekend of June 29, 2013 (as everyone was rehearsing for the BET Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles) and he was kind enough to sign a few items including this cool black microphone:

One Direction Autographed 8x10 Photo

Who would have ever guessed that an English-Irish pop boy band based in London would become the worlds hottest musical commodity? Not me. As every one now knows, One Direction is a fabricated group, glued together during the competition stage of the hit UK show The X-Factor. The boys came in as soloists and left as a band. Its a great story of being in the right place at the right time with just enough talent to make it work. The rest, of course, is history.

10 million albums, 19 million singles, and an endless string of sold out concerts have placed One Direction squarely into the frontal lobes of teen age girls and young-at-heart women across this planet. You would think that autographed One Direction memorabilia would flood the market but surprisingly, this hasn't been the case. The combination of constant worldwide touring and English recording sessions has limited access to the band and their signatures to those of us here in the US. However, once in a while we do come across a couple of items that we find interesting. Today's little gift from 1D are a couple of 8x10 photos signed by Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson.

St. Louis Cardinals 2013 Team Signed Jersey

OK, the St Louis Cardinals didn't win the World Series but they still had one heck of a year. As Anthony Castrovince wrote on mlb.com, "The St. Louis Cardinals won 97 games this season, surviving a division battle that included two other postseason teams. They were, according to the raw records resulting from the 162-game grind, the best team in the National League." The Cards won 97 games in what could only be called a fist-fight of a season. Impressive by any measure.

So Cardinals fans, hold your heads high. Yes, you lost the World Series but you had a cool, kick ass baseball team. To commemorate this great team we're offering this rare 2013 St. Louis Cardinals team signed jersey. Tell me this wouldn't make the greatest gift ever.

Boston Red Sox World Series Memorabilia

The Boston Red Sox are now the official 2013 World Series Champions and this one is probably the sweetest for lifelong Bosox fans. Its the third championships in the last ten years but the very first series clinched in Boston since 1918! 95 years! Its a good bet that there aren't many folks still alive in Boston who were around for the last one. As Sam Eifling noted in his Deadspin column "How long ago was 1918?...The New York Yankees won 40 pennants and 27 World Series Titles." Wow, what a stat.

In honor of this great Boston moment, Score Memorabilia is now making available some truly collectible autographed Boston Red Sox memorabilia. My personal favorite is this Official 2013 World Series Baseball that has been personally hand signed by Brandon Workman, Clay Buchholz, Craig Breslow, Daniel Nava, David Ortiz, David Ross, Dustin Pedroia, Felix Doubront, Franklin Morales, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jake Peavy, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, John Lackey, Jon Lester, Jonny Gomes, Junichi Tazawa, Koji Uehara, manager John Farrell, Mike Carp, Mike Napoli, Quintin Berry, Ryan Dempster, Shane Victorino, Stephen Drew, Will Middlebrooks, Xander Bogaerts.

2013 NFL Football Green Bay Packers

If your an NFC North team, whats worse than having to play a Green Bay team with Aaron Rodgers? How about playing a Green Bay team with Aaron Rodgers and a running game? Yep, it looks the packers are actually poised to have a ground game this year.
It traded two high draft picks to get running backs Johnathan Franklin and Eddie Lacy. These two, combined with DuJuan Harris in the backfield, will be a force to reckon with.
Not to be outdone by the offense, the defensive side of the ball will also have some new energy this year. Defensive end Datone Jones was drafted in the first round and he should make a huge impact creating pressure on opposing offensive lines.

Boston Bruins Legends Autographed Hockey Jersey

Autographed Boston Bruins Legends Jersey

Love them or hate them (or like me, both) professional hockey just wouldn’t be what it is today without the Boston Bruins. In existence since 1924, the Bruins are the league's third-oldest team and one of the Original Six with the Chicago BlackhawksDetroit Red WingsMontreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Toronto Maple Leafs. These are seriously old-school franchises. Part of the reason we love these teams so much is because we’re part of their history. That’s why we’re fans. Their history is part of our history. The traditions and legendary players that grow from each team become a touchstone for all of us.

Look at the Bruins list of player legends, its ridiculous. For instance Gerry Cheevers, goaltender for at least 7 or 8 teams, really got into the books when he played for the Bruins – two cups while he was in the net, 1970 and 1972.  Or how about Bobby Orr? The guy was so good they put him in the Hall of Fame the year after he retired when he was only 31! Ever hear of Don Sweeney? If you’re a Bruins fan you sure have. He is one of only four players to see action in over 1000 games! As a defenceman he’s recognized as one of the best that ever played and he was only 5’10 and 185 pounds. Your mailman is bigger than this guy.

The Bruins have had an amazing bunch of players and this year is no different. Score Memorabilia is now offering a one of kind jersey signed by some young guys and some old guys, all great names in Bruin history. This Boston Bruins Jersey has been personally hand signed by Boston Bruins legends Adam Oates, Bobby Orr, Brad Marchand, Brad Park, Cam Neely, Charlie Simmer, Dennis Seidenberg, Don Marcotte, Don Sweeney, Gerry Cheevers, Johnny Bucyk, Mike Milbury, Milan Lucic, Patrice Bergeron, Phil Esposito, Ray Bourque, Terry O'Reilly, Tim Thomas, Tuukka Rask, Tyler Seguin and Zdeno Chára.

Time to get your Miami Heat Memorabilia

Yes, its time to get your Miami Heat Memorabilia. Win or lose, the Heat has had an incredible year.

Dallas Cowboys Greats Autographed Football

Dallas Cowboys Greats Autographed Football

The Dallas Cowboys closed out their 2013 off-season workouts on Thursday, and head coach Jason Garrett thinks his team is ready for camp:
"I think we've had an outstanding offseason. You heard me say this a number of times. The attendance we've had in our offseason program was nearly 100 percent every day and certainly in the OTAs and minicamp and that's a reflection of the kind of commitment this football team has made."

God bless head coaches. Hope springs eternal for these poor souls as they gaze out on to a sea of mediocre role players and unknown rookies. They expect the worst but hope for the best. Dallas coach Jason Garret certainly fits into this group as he wishes for the ghosts of the past to somehow rescue his team.

So what is the hard core Cowboy fan to do as he anxiously wrings his hands waiting for training camp to begin in Oxnard? How about reflecting on the glory days of the Cowboys and the players that made them great?  How about guys like Darryl Johnston, Emmitt Smith, Jimmy Johnson, Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach, Tony Romo, Michael Irvin, and Randy White? These are the guys that inspire Cowboy fans. These are the guys that are now together forever on a personally hand signed official Wilson NFL Football. Only 6 Weeks Until NFL Training Camp

OK you NFL junkies, only 6 more weeks before it all starts again. As players rest in the quiet before the storm, all the talk right now seems to center around Robert Griffin III and his famous knee. Reports say he'll be in training camp but will not participate in full sessions, which is good news for long suffering Washington Redskin fans. In honor of the early-season, high-hope Redskin fans, we're offering a cool little RG3 autographed mini helmet for sale:

2012 Atlanta Falcons Team Signed Helmet

2012 Atlanta Falcons Team Signed Helmet

In 1965 the Atlanta Falcons came into the National Football League as an expansion team when Rankin Smith paid the huge sum of $8.5 million for the franchise. As with most expansion teams of the era they were terrible, winning only 12 times in their first 4 years. In the deep south, where college ball is religion, these were painful years for the faithful. And things didn't improve much during the next 20 years. Yes, there were playoff years and yes there was Neon Deion Sanders for a while, but mostly it was a team playing in virtual anonymity.

But then came Mike Smith and Matt Ryan in 2008 and everything changed. Winning seasons, playoff games and fan joy returned to Atlanta. Now, in their 47th season, this year's team has become a fan favorite because of their incredible cast of characters and the style of football they play. The 2012 Falcons are destined to be one of the most remembered teams of the decade.

For elite fans of unique Atlanta Falcons autographed football memorabilia, this might do the trick:

Colin Kaepernick, Frank Gore and Michael Crabtree Autographed 49ers Football

San Francisco 49ers Autographed Logo Football

Instant Classic. Yep, this is what the sports writers are predicting for the 2013 NFL playoff game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons will likely be pulling their hair out by the third quarter as they attempt to throttle the ridiculous scoring trio of Colin Kaepernick, Frank Gore and Michael Crabtree. Not only will this game be an instant classic, but these three guys are likely to become instant stars in the process. Yes, yes, we know they're already stars in the Bay Area but they're still pretty fresh to the rest of the country's casual football fans.

Today's hot offering is an instantly collectible piece of football sports memorabilia, a 49ers logo football signed by Kaepernick, Gore and Crabtree.

The Police Autographed Drum Head

The Police Autographed Drum Head

So where were you in 1978? Wherever that place was you were most likely listening to FM radio at home, in your car and maybe even at work. The war between rock and disco was still going on, at least on the record charts, and there wasn't much in between. Popular music had run out of gas creatively. Then, out of the club scene in London, came the New Wave. Sometimes considered the bastard child of punk and pop, it was radio safe and full of promise. One of the reasons it got into your ear was because of a catchy little tango-based tune written by a spikey haired dude named Sting. Roxanne and The Police crashed onto the scene and the music listening masses were happy.

The Police, with Sting, Andy Summers and Stuart Copeland, became an international smash hit with zillions of records sold and every market on the planet conquered. Unbelievably, the band rode the wave all the way to 1986, somehow managing to stay fresh and relevant. Which is why we still listen today.

So here ya go, an autographed drum head with the boys when they were still young and handsome. Cool collectible, awesome gift, or just something for your mom's birthday.
