Paul Pierce is an unbelievably talented professional basketball player, no matter who he plays for. Now say that out loud. Yep, sounds good. At 36 years old he and another old guy, Kevin Garnett, are somehow managing to propel a relatively awful team through the playoffs. When the Brooklyn Nets traded for Pierce and Garnett, everybody thought they were deranged. Now they look pretty smart. Pierce and Garnett are getting paid big bucks because they know how to keep cool in the final moments of a close playoff game, the hardest, most nerve wracking few seconds in all of sports. We liked Paul Pierce when he was with the Celtics and we like him with the Nets.
